    Tricolored Blackbirds

    Program

  • Date: 09/19/2007
  • Time: 07:30:00 PM
  • September Speaker:
    Dr. Bob Meese

Our first speaker of the season, Dr. Bob Meese, is vigorously continuing to
research Tricolored Blackbirds, a nearly exclusively California species. These
beautiful colonial birds nest in some precarious places. As a result they often
lose their offspring just short of fledging. We need to know more about the
populations to protect them. Come hear about what we already know, and what we
are trying to learn about them. Find out how your own observations can help.

Our September meeting, Wednesday September 19th, will be in a different location
than you are used to. It will be at the Redwood Park Community Building, 1001
Anderson Road. The building is located on Anderson between Amherst and Rutgers,
behind the tennis courts south of Cesar Chavez Elementary. The meeting starts at
7:30 PM, but come early for cookies and conversation. Everyone is
    welcome…bring a friend!
