    Please come join us for this trip where we will
    try to find as many raptor species as possible
    in a full day of birding in Yolo County. In addition
    to the more common species, our targets will
    include Bald and Golden Eagles, Ferruginous and
    Rough-legged Hawks, Merlin, and Peregrine and
    Prairie Falcons.

    Bring binoculars, lunch, plenty of liquids, and dress
    in layers. Please bring a spotting scope if you have
    one. We will meet at the Park-N-Ride Lot by the
    Ikeda Market in South Davis (off of the Mace
    Boulevard Exit from I-80) at 7:30 AM for carpooling.

    Raptor Ramble 2012

    Great day with beautiful weather and lots of raptors. The highlight for me was at Upper Cache Creek Canyon. Three Golden Eagles (two adults, one immature and three Bald Eagles in the air at the same time and within the same binocular view! Another highlight was an adult Peregrine Falcon perched up on a cliff above Monticello Dam.

    Cooper’s Hawk 2

    Short-eared Owl 4
