    Waterfowl Populations in California

    Program

  • Date: 04/21/2010
  • Time: 07:30:00 PM
  • Now that the masses of wintering waterfowl have moved out or are on their way, come to our April 21st meeting to hear Shaun Oldenburger talk about waterfowl populations throughout California and the Pacific Flyway. His aerial surveys over both the Central Valley and Northeastern California are done during the breeding season as well as in the winter, so he knows where the birds go.

Shaun is a Wildlife Biologist with the California Department of Fish and Game with a Masters in Avian Sciences from UC Davis where he focused on waterfowl. Odds are he can answer almost any question you might have about “our” waterfowl.

We’ll again be in the Club Room at the Veterans Memorial Center in Davis, Wednesday, April 21st starting at 7:30 pm, but come early for cookies and conversation.
