    Sierra Valley

    Field Trip

  • Date: 06/05/2010
  • Time: 06:00:00 AM
  • Please join us for this overnight trip into the Sierra
Nevada.  We will be looking for high elevation raptors,
woodpeckers, warblers, vireos, finches and flycatchers
among others.  In previous years we have been
rewarded with observations of Bald Eagle, Northern
    Goshawk, Black-backed Woodpecker and Evening
    Grosbeak, to name a few.

Overnight options include lodging in Portola and
camping at Lake Davis.  Please bring several layers
of clothing, sunscreen, insect repellent, plenty of
water and food enough at least for breakfast and
    lunch on Saturday.

We will meet at the Park-N-Ride Lot by the Ikeda
Market off of Mace Boulevard (north side of I-80)
in South Davis at 6:00 AM on Saturday.

We look forward to seeing you there!
