    Bobelaine Sanctuary

    Field Trip

  • Date: 05/08/2010
  • Time: 07:00:00 AM
  • Come join us as we walk through a beautiful remnant mixed deciduous forest along the Feather River. The Bobelaine Audubon Sanctuary is around two miles long and about a quarter mile wide. The trails are generally flat and easy to walk.

We will be looking and listening for the various resident and migrating birds found here this time of year. We expect to see and hear warblers, woodpeckers, flycatchers, raptors, orioles, wrens and many more types of birds.

Meet at 7 AM in the Marketplace/Big 5 parking lot in northwest Davis (Covell Blvd/Sycamore Lane). Bring water and a snack and hiking shoes. We expect to return around one PM to Davis. Please contact Mel Bolinder at 530-662-2351 or Ed Whisler at 916-204-0471 for further trip information.
