    Bird Identification Workshop

    Program

  • Date: 12/09/2009
  • Time: 07:30:00 PM
  • Our December program is always special. Steve Hampton, the Compiler for our Putah Creek Christmas Bird Count, will be presenting a fun, informative, and sometimes challenging bird identification talk with lots of comparison pictures and helpful ID hints. When he has you at his mercy wanting more, he’ll give us the rundown on how to take part in the CBC and put your new-found or validated knowledge to good use. You can sign up for a team of counters at the meeting if you haven’t already done so.

Our December meeting is also when we hold our annual fundraiser drawing for some wonderful donated items plus a framed print of a Burrowing Owl. You may have received a letter from us with tickets and a suggested donation amount, but we will also have tickets available for the drawing at the meeting as well.

We’ll again be meeting at the Davis Senior Citizens Center, 646 A Street. There is parking on the side and behind the building. The meeting starts at 7:30 pm, but come early for cookies and conversation… and bring a friend!

PLEASE NOTE: THIS MEETING IS A WEEK EARLY, ON DECEMBER 9.
