Burrowing owl

Great Gray Owls of the Sierra Nevada

    Program

  • Date: 09/16/2009
  • Time: 07:30:00 PM
  • For our first meeting of the Fall season (September 16), Josh Hull, of UC Davis, will be telling us about Great Gray Owls in our southern Sierra Nevada. For some time he’s been studying their range and habitat needs and looking for their genetic relationship to other populations in the northern world. He has some nifty pictures of the birds and of the research methods used to learn more about them.

Please note that we will be meeting in a different location. The meeting will be held at the Davis Senior Citizen Center, 646 A Street. There is ample parking on the side and at the back of the building. The meeting begins at 7:30 pm, but come early for cookies and conversation. Bring a friend, especially if they don’t drive at night.
