    Field Trip

  • Date: 08/01/2009
  • Time: 07:00:00 AM
  • Join Yolo Audubon for a morning of birding during shorebird migration. We will meet Saturday, August 1st, 6:30 AM at the Park and Ride lot off Mace Boulevard (NE of Hwy 80; behind Ikeda’s Produce) and travel to one or more areas near Davis to look for and study several kinds of sandpipers, plovers, terns, and associated birds of the seasonal mudflats. The most likely destination will be the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area. We will return to Davis around noon or 12:30. Though not a strenuous trip, expect to walk on uneven paths. Bring sunscreen, hat, water, and a spotting scope if you have one. This trip is not appropriate for young children. Call either Alison Kent (530-297-7622) or Roger Adamson (530-219-2067 or 753-3338) for further information.
