Yellow-Billed Magpies
Program
Our April program brings us the latest on one of our favorite local birds, the Yellow-billed Magpie. Scott Crosbie studied these beauties for his Master’s Thesis at CSU Sacramento and continues field studies on them and banding birds at MAPS stations in the Tahoe National Forest. Scott can fill us in on recent research at UCD on West Nile Virus and the magpies, and on what WE can do to help. We’ll meet on Wednesday the 16th at the Veterans Memorial Club Room. We start at 7:30 PM, but come early for cookies and conversation.
