Raptor Ramble
Field Trip
California’s Central Valley has one of the largest wintering raptor populations in the country. Our goal will be to see how many species of raptors we can find on this sixth annual trip. We will also be keeping track of the numbers, age and sex of the raptors that we see (if possible). Highlights of previous trips include Ferruginous Hawk, Rough-legged Hawk, Golden Eagle, Merlin, Peregrine Falcon and Prairie Falcon.
Birders of all ages and skill levels are welcome! We will be meeting at 5th and C Streets in Davis at 7:30 AM. Please bring binoculars, lunch, liquids, layers of clothes and be prepared for a full day trip. Call Kevin Gusé (916) 457-9175 for more details.
